Joy to the World, the Lord is Come

My friends, don’t you just love the Christmas season (even during a pandemic).  There is something about this season that brings out the best in all of us and it’s not just the giving and receiving of gifts, drinking cocoa or enjoying a slice of peppermint chocolate.

The reason I believe is found in the joy that God has bestowed on us His children by sending Jesus into the world to redeem us from a life of sin and destruction planned for us by satan. Luke 2:10-14 announces his birth “But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”  Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Whatever your situation or circumstance may be during this difficult pandemic, let this season be a reminder:

  • That Jesus loves You: The proof is in His birth, death and resurrection so that we can have eternal life.
  • To love one another: Showing the love of Jesus in this season that can sometimes be a difficult one for some.  This requires us to put our faith into action.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you on how to show his love to those around you wisely.

Christ follower, may the Joy of this season be yours and that of your household In Jesus Name. Amen.  Have a peaceful and blessed Christmas. If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and experience the love of Jesus today.

All glory to God!
