Power to Make a Difference

My friends, as Christ followers, God has empowered us with the ability to make a difference in our world by bestowing on each of us different gifting’s and abilities to do life.

Many of us shy away from using our gifts and abilities to make a difference for reasons best known to us.  However, this is not to be taken lightly because the difference we make in the lives of each other is what God uses to strengthen the body of Christ globally.

We are reminded in Hebrews 10:24-25And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching”.

I don’t know what gifts or abilities God has given you my friend, but whatever it is, use it to:

  • Bless others – God is pleased when we go out of our way to make a difference in other people’s lives. In doing so, we are extending the hands and feet of Jesus to a world that desperately needs Him and don’t expect anything in return. My older sister once told me that the one I extend a hand of goodness to is not necessarily the one that will pay me back. God is the rewarder of those who seek and serve Him (Hebrews 11:6).
  • Glorify God – Our human nature often seeks glory and credit for our good deeds. The risk of this, is that we lose our reward from God. We must return the glory back to God (even when people come back to praise us).  There are serious consequences for taking God’s glory and remember, He gave us the gifts and abilities in the first place – everything belongs to Him.

Christ follower, God has given you the power to make a difference – Act now for His glory and you will be handsomely rewarded In Jesus Name. Amen.

If you are currently not a Christ follower, the price of salvation is already paid for you – come and enjoy it today.

All glory to God!
