My friends, the wisdom we need to do life can be found in the word of God. I have found this to be so true and hence the scripture tells us in Psalm 19:7 that
“The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple”.
Do you need wisdom concerning your marital situation, business, career, having or raising your children, handling a family loss, emotional, spiritual and physical wisdom or much more? Look no further than God’s word. The knowledge of His word will:
- Shed light on the love of God toward us – The lack of the knowledge of God’s word on how much He loves us sometimes leaves us hopeless and helpless. Not so, because His word is clear on His great love for us and how He gave His only begotten son Jesus to die on the Cross so that we will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16) so He can have a personal relationship with us.
- Encourage us – We all need encouragement when we are going through the challenges that life throws at us and the encouragement I find in the word of God is that, there is nothing new under the face of the earth and the Bible is filled with characters who have gone through these trials and God came through for them. Now, this gives me hope that if God delivered them in the past, He is able to deliver me now.
Christ follower, if you want to be wise, study the word of God to present yourself as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). If you are currently not a Christ follower, today is the day of salvation – come.
All glory to God!
