The Bigger Our Problems, The Greater Our I AM

Many years ago, I was visiting a Christian art exhibition in London, England and came across a painting with the inscription, “This is God – I will be handling all of your problems today. I will not need your help! So, relax and have a great day.” As you may imagine, that painting still hangs on my wall today as a daily reminder of Who the GREAT I AM is in my own personal life as, I go through my own problems.

The bigger our problems – the greater our I AM, and the Truth indeed is that He does not need our help to solve our problems, He just needs us to trust and cooperate with Him. I often find this hard to grasp as I wait upon God for my own personal situation. However, living life with Jesus does not exempt us from problems. The word of God reminds us, “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.” (Psalm 34:19).

So, no matter how big that marital, emotional, relationship, career, business, health, financial problems or any other problem for that matter, learn to:

  • Trust in GREAT I AM – To help you through the times of trouble. He will deliver you from ALL your troubles. In my experience, delivering us does not mean that our problems will go away, but He gives us the grace to go through them.
  • Value the lessons in your problems – God may be taking you through a journey of spiritual growth through your problems! You will be amazed how God can use it to work together for your own good.
  • Rest in Him – This requires giving Him your problems through prayer and acknowledging you are helpless and cannot handle the problem without Him.
  • Be Thankful – For His faithfulness, compassion, love and assurance through His Word that He will be with you no matter the problems you are currently facing.

Christ follower, always remember that your problems are not as big as the GREAT I AM you serve. If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and experience the GREAT I AM in a special way today.

All glory to God!
