Guard Your Salvation

My friends, writing on the issue of guarding our Salvation, the Holy Spirit brought to my mind an analogy of owning a home without emplacing measures to guard the home and thereafter leave the home open for thieves or predators to come in.

The same is true of our salvation and more so because it was paid for with a higher price on the Cross of Calvary. The Bible warns us of this in Proverbs 1:32For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them”.

As Christ followers, we must remain one step ahead of satan because he is always looking for ways to rubbish God’s glory in our lives and often, he does it in subtle ways.

Guarding our Salvation requires that we:

  • Be Alert and Sober mind – The scripture is explicitly clear on this because our enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).
  • Remain vigilant in Prayer – We daily engage in communication with God through prayer to guard our thought, words and deed in every situation that confronts us for the day and thank God for His power that is able to deliver us.

If you are a Christ follower, my prayer for you is that God will protect you from any scheme of satan that will cause you to forfeit your Salvation In Jesus Name. Amen.  If you are currently not a Christ follower, don’t be deceived – Jesus is the Way, the Truth and Life, come!

All glory to God!
