O Lord, Help Me to Be Fruitful

My friends, wherever God has planted us – be it in our homes, business environment, Church, community or circle of influence, He expects us to be fruitful. So, what does it mean for us to be fruitful? We have a road map in Galatians 5:22-23But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law”.

In the life of Joseph, we see how he exhibited the fruit of the spirit toward his brothers, bearing in mind how they treated him. We too, by the grace of God, can do the same. Living a fruitful life, regardless of the ups and downs of life we face, requires pursuing God’s purpose for our life by accepting the call to:

  • Salvation – Knowing that salvation is found in no one else other than Jesus. This gift is given to us by grace and mercy, not because we have earned it.
  • Freedom – With freedom comes the responsibility to choose an intentional, disciplined life through the power of the Holy Spirit, loving what God loves and hating what God hates as we meditate and grow in His Word.
  • Discipleship – Which means that we also share the Good News with others, so they too can come, taste and see that the Lord is good (Matthew 28:19-20).

Christ followers: May the Lord help us to be fruitful where ever He has planted us! And If you are currently not a Christ follower, a fruitful life can only be found in Jesus – so come!

All glory to God!
