My friends, I don’t know about you, but knowing what I know now “In Christ”, I would rather have God order my steps than me making the mess of my life as I once did. Imagine with me the God who knows the end from the beginning – Isaiah 46:10 says “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.” Now, this is a God we don’t need convincing to put our trust in because He has proved Himself over and over again.
The benefits of trusting and allowing Him to order our steps far outweigh us trying to manage the affairs of our own lives. We don’t have the foresight of what will happen in the next minute of our lives – regardless of our strategic and risk assessment planning for the future.
When God orders our steps:
- He will never leave us or forsake us – We are assured of His insight, foresight and protection in the good and the trying times of lives. I find this truth comforting, particularly in my season of trials, knowing that God has my back.
- He will give His Angels charge over us – Imagine your own personal Angel watching over you, day and night. Even when you are fighting emotional, health, career, marital, financial, relationship, family, children and business battles of life. They are right there guarding you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11).
If you are a Christ follower, pray daily for God to order your steps, and then trust Him as your day unfolds (no matter the outcome) that He is in the situation and Rest in this truth.
If you are currently not a Christ follower, you can never have anything better than God has ordained for your life. And remember, He knows the end from the beginning – so come, today is the day of salvation. All glory to God!
All glory to God!
