When we walk with the Lord

My friends, walking with the Lord is fulfilling our purpose on earth and there is no greater purpose than that. With everything that God does, when we choose to walk with Him, we are rewarded.

Zechariah 3:7 says “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here”. How cool is that!

When we choose to walk with the Lord, we must also be prepared for opposition. The fact that we chose this path does not mean that we will have a smooth sail. In fact that is when satan unleashes the storms of fear, doubt, unbelief, sickness, worry, anxiety and so on upon our lives. However, we must stand firm in our decision because the reward far exceeds the opposition if we focus on:

  • The God that is head over heels in love with us – Who in the first place, gave His life for us on the Cross so that we would not perish but have eternal life. This thought should give us great focus to live for Him and for the joy of eternity that awaits us.
  • God as the source of our existence – Without Him we are nothing because we live, move and have our being in Him (Acts 17:28). Knowing this truth makes our walk with the Lord an experience that is filled with Hope of the things to come.
  • Sharing God’s love with others – In our walk with the Lord, we owe it to our circle of influence to share this love with them. We certainly want our light to shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

Christ follower, live a life of purpose this year by walking with the Lord. If you are currently not a Christ follower, Jesus is calling – come.

All glory to God!
