Just a little deed of Kindness

My friends, just a little deed of kindness given or received goes a long way in improving our disposition in life.

All we have to do is reflect on a time when someone showed us an act of kindness or when we showed someone an act of kindness. I am sure you will agree with me that we felt valued and loved. Now, imagine the opposite and how awful it would be if we are not kind toward each other.

The act of kindness is one of the great examples Jesus taught us in His word in Ephesians 4:32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you”.

If we are going to be genuine followers of Christ, we must:

  • Pray for the spirit of kindness – Not everyone has the temperament of kindness but it is a good character trait to desire in the place of prayer. It will bring joy to our life as we give and receive kindness.
  • Make kindness a habit – We can offer and receive kindness in various ways. Prayerfully ask God to show you how you can extend kindness to meet the needs of others. This could be by sharing words of encouragement, praying, offering a helping hand and so on.

Christ follower, this week and year, walk in kindness. If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and experience the kindness of Jesus.

All glory to God!
