Watch what you see & pray

My friends, we live in a world where our values are daily eroded by the negative things we see. The modern trappings such as (television, newspapers, cable, mobile devices etc..) meant to enhance our quality of life have become tools in the hand of satan to manipulate, distract and derail us from enjoying a spiritual relationship with God.

The Bible warns us in Matthew 26:41 to “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

God in His foreknowledge knew that we would struggle in this area and in His mercy, love and grace for us, He provided the way of escape through:

  • Prayer – Starting our day by praying to God to protect and deliver us from all the temptations of the negative things we see around us.
  • Power of choice – God gave us the ability to choose and say “No” by His grace that is freely available to us.
  • Renewing of our heart – We daily meditate on His word to keep our heart pure because it is the control center where life’s decisions are made.

Christ follower, watch what you see and pray! If you are currently not a Christ follower, the salvation of God is freely given – come.

All glory to God!
