Enjoy the Love that is freely given

My friends, I don’t know about you but I sometimes struggle with enjoying the love of God towards me because of my past failures.  However, I daily renew my mind with His word that because I am in Christ, I am a new creation, the old has gone and the new is here (2 Corinthians 5:17).

God’s word to us in 1 John 3:1 is “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him”.

Enjoying the love that God has freely given us requires us to:

  • Embrace His love – Remembering that we have not earned it and it is freely given by grace is a good starting point.
  • Daily renewing our mind in the word of God – The battle of life is fought in our minds and Satan never takes vacation. He is going to remind us of things that will stop us from enjoying the love of God.  Reminding him of God’s promises to us will free us from his condemnation.
  • Love ourselves as God loves us – If the God of the universe say’s He loves us, who are we to say or think otherwise. Now, this is a daily reminder for you and me.

Christ follower, don’t let Satan stop you from enjoying the love of God for you in every area of your life.  If you are currently not a Christ follower, Jesus is love – come and experience Him today.

All glory to God!
