My friends, peace is a state of mind that money cannot buy – this means you could have everything you need in life (wealth and all) and still not have peace. Nevertheless, essential to living a quality life.
I am sure we all know (ourselves included) someone who has lost their peace through fear, defeat, mental unrest and turmoil as result of uncertainty in relationships; business; divorce; health; finance; career; death and so on.
No matter the hopelessness of our situation, In Christ, we can have peace. God’s promise to us in John 14:27 is “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”.
Experiencing this peace requires us to:
- Invite the giver of peace into our situation – We do this by spending time in the word of God to locate and apply scriptures that invite peace into that given situation.
- Trust in the giver of peace – God: If you don’t trust someone, it is difficult to have an open mind to receive what they have for you. God said he will give us peace – so simply take Him at his word.
Christ follower, invite and trust the giver of peace into your situation this week and year. If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and experience the one who can make you dwell in peace today.
All glory to God!
