My friends, experiencing the joy of the Lord requires an intentional state of mind backed by the help of the Holy Spirit. We are often faced in this world with situations that squeeze out anything joyful in our lives.
The lack of joy could be as a result of unfulfilled expectations in our careers, marriages, relationships, families, businesses, health, finances and the list is endless. Whatever is stopping you from experiencing the joy of the Lord, be encouraged that weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5b).
To experience the joy of the Lord this year, I encourage you to:
- Remain in His presence – We do this by spending time in the word of God to encourage and help us to gain the right perspective.
- Praise and worship God – Doing this when going through circumstances that are not joyful will lift our spirit and the peace of God will overflow our spirit – try it!
Christ follower, remember joy is coming in the morning – be encouraged! If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and experience the joy of the Lord today.
All glory to God!
