My friends, I pray for you and your family this Christmas season the peace, joy and provision of God in every areas of your lives.
As Christmas symbolizes for me a new beginning, I pray that the God of new beginning, will give you this season and in the coming year a new beginning in your health, family, marriage, finances, career, homes, businesses, relationships and so on.
Depending on the individual, Christmas means different things to everyone. However, as Christ followers, our primary focus this season is to reflect and be thankful to God for what he has done for us and remember those who are struggling this season.
Christ follower, keep Jesus at the center of it all. Why? Because this season symbolizes for us:
- The Love of God toward us – It is a privilege and honor to be called a child of God and through the birth of Jesus, we receive love, mercy and forgiveness for our sins. For some, this season can be very lonely and difficult – so extend the love of Christ you have received to others in need (not want) by giving of your time, money, service and talent.
- Hope of a new beginning – In announcing the birth of Jesus, the Angels declared the good news that will cause us great joy – the Savior of the world has been born (Luke 2:10-11). I don’t know about you, I am grateful for this new beginning in my life. Because of this new beginning, I am able to share the good news of Jesus through this virtual devotion ministry – all glory to the King of Kings! So, as you celebrate, share the hope of Christ with others using your testimony to the glory of God.
- Hope of a better future – the hope of spending eternity with our God is reassuring and backed by His word in (1 Timothy 6:12). We must not lose sight of this truth by fighting the good fight of faith and encouraging those around us who are discouraged this Christmas season to hold on – a glorious day awaits us.
Christ follower, worship and adore the King of Kings this season. If you are currently not a Christ follower, a better future awaits you in Christ – come.
All glory to God!
