My friends, we need godly wisdom to navigate the situations, circumstances and events of life. The story of Joseph comes to mind – he was a slave in Egypt and during this time, Pharaoh had a dream that none of his magicians and wise men could interpret for him. And through series of divine intervention, Joseph was recommended by Pharaoh’s chief cupbearer who Joseph previously interpreted his dream. I encourage you to read the full account of the story in (Genesis 41).
When Joseph appeared before Pharaoh he acknowledged in Genesis 41:16 that “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”
Friends, the secret to successful living is wisdom from God. Seeking the wisdom that comes from God, will:
- Prolong our life – When we live according to God’s will, his wisdom will guide us to instructions that will keep us in perfect peace. Daniel urged his friends to seek wisdom from God so they would not be executed along with the wise men of Babylon – (Daniel 2:18).
- Bring us peace and prosperity – Because Joseph sought God in the meaning of Pharaoh’s dream, he was promoted to second in command to Pharaoh and as a result, he was able to bring his family to join him and they lived in peace in Egypt before a new Pharaoh came into power.
Christ follower, daily seek the wisdom that comes from God which is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, good fruit, impartial, sincere and you will navigate life with ease. If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and enjoy the wisdom of God today.
All glory to God!
