Reaping the Benefits of Faith

Friends, for those of you who are athletic, you will agree with me that you need that daily motivation to get out there and jog, run, lift weights, walk, dance or do the exercise of your choice.

Our Faith in Christ also requires daily exercise through meditation on God’s word otherwise, we live in discouragement and despair when faced with life’s challenges.

The Bible is filled with characters who exercised their faith and received their breakthrough.  A story that comes to mind can be found in (Matthew 9:20-22) of a woman who bled for twelve years and purposed in her heart that if she touched the cloak of Jesus, she will be healed – now that is faith!

My friends, we too can develop this kind of faith by daily:

  • Meditating on God’s word – I have found that finding Bible scriptures that apply to the situations, circumstances and events I deal with and applying them to my life help me to build my faith.
  • Resolving in our heart to touch Jesus–Aligning ourselves with God’s purpose for our lives and trusting Him no matter what the outcome. In situation like this, I have found that God provides me with what I NEED not what I want and as a bonus, He gives me the spirit of contentment to accept what He has provided.

Christ follower, choose to exercise your faith in Christ this week and year and reap the benefits.  If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and reap the benefits of salvation in Christ today.

All glory to God!
