Enjoying a Nourished Life

Friends, when plants are nurtured, they are beautiful and bring forth fruit, but when they are neglected, they become dry and lifeless.  This situation is not unique to plants but also applicable to us humans.

As Christ followers, we must feed on the word of God so we can grow and not be tossed around like a wind from every doctrine that abound around us.

The word of God reminds us in Joshua 1:8 to “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful”.

Enjoying a nourished life requires that we:

  • Daily meditate on the word of God – Which means reading the Bible – even if it means reading one section of scripture daily and intentionally reflecting on what has been read.
  • Apply what we have read to our daily living – Just reading and not applying is not wise and won’t do us any good. As we apply what we have read, we begin to bear beautiful fruits of peace, joy, kindness, love and so on.

Friends, choose to live a nourished life this week and year.  If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and taste what life in Christ looks and feels like – you will not be disappointed.

All glory to God!
