Living an Extraordinary Life

Friends, the Lord has been challenging me lately to look beyond my limitations and rely on His ability and power through me and to believe that He is able to do extraordinary things through the lives of ordinary people like you and me.

Journey with me to Judges 6:14 – the verse reads “The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”

If you are anything like Gideon and I, the response is always “Lord, who am I – nobody, unworthy, irrelevant” and the excuse goes on and on. Friends, If God has called us, He is able to guide, direct and sustain us to fulfill His purpose for our lives.  However, we must:

  • Submit to His sovereignty – which means He will do as He pleases in our lives – not on our timetable or plan.
  • Obey His calling – rather than make excuses of our unworthiness, ask “what do you want me to do Lord?”
  • Trust Him – because God knows us better than we know ourselves – our flaws and strengths, He can cause all things to work together for His glory.

Friends, this week and year, submit, obey and trust God to do extraordinary things through your life.  If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and experience the God who is able to turn your life around.

All glory to God!

  1. I shared this with my house group. The mandates of God are not cumbersome. It really is as easy as SOT (submit, obey and trust)!! Praise be to God Almighty!. The author and finisher of our faith. We can do all things if we truly SOT.
    Onward! Christian soldiers.
