The reward of Faithfulness

My friends, a quick reminder – we are still learning from the word of God on how to apply the fruits of the Spirit to our day to day lives.  The foundation for our learning is found in Galatians 5:22-23 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law”.

This week, we are focusing on FAITHFULNESS.

The fruit of Faithfulness is a reminder for me that when the journey of life gets tough, that is not the time to give-up but the time to endure as children of God because of our hope of eternal life and the reward that awaits us.

Staying Faithful requires us to daily remind ourselves that:

  • God loves us – He is on our side and His power enables us to live the Christian life.  The journey of faith is one of attitude that is developed by the Holy Spirit
  • There is a reward that awaits us – I don’t know about you, but the thought of hearing “well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matthew 25:21) keeps me energized when times are tough

Christ follower, this week ask the Holy Spirit to give you the anointing to remain Faithful. If you are currently not a Christ follower, don’t miss out on the reward that Christ has in store for us – come.

All glory to God!
