My friends, this week, we are focusing on GOODNESS.
The fruit of Goodness requires from us the readiness of heart. It is not seasonal but a constant manifestation of Christ in us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
One of the definitions of Goodness is “moral excellence”. I love this definition because it makes each and everyone of us accountable for our minute by minute and day by day actions – particularly in a world where people have lost their moral compass and everyone thinks his own ways are right – but forgetting that the Lord weighs the heart (Proverbs 21:2).
Let us reflect on what we must do to embody the fruit of Goodness in (Psalm 31:19):
- We must fear God – fearing Him (not in a negative way) being in a relationship with Him by embracing a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him; enjoying His presence in fellowship through reading of the Bible, worship and thanksgiving. As we do these, we bear fruits that do good to All.
- We must take refuge in Him – I don’t know about you, but I need God to be my refuge in a world where situations, circumstances and events change at the drop of a hat.
Christ follower, this week Be Ready in Goodness to God and man. If you are currently not a Christ follower, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom – come and experience His goodness.
All glory to God!
