Walk in Kindness

My friends, this week, we are focusing on KINDNESS.

Reflect on a time when someone showed you an act of kindness and how that made you feel. I don’t know about you but I felt valued and loved. Now, imagine the opposite and how awful that would be.

If we are going to be genuine Christ followers, we must pray for the spirit of kindness. This is very important if we are to engage in missions and win souls for the Kingdom of God.

The word of God in Ephesians 4:32 reminds us to “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you”.

So, how do we walk in Kindness? – we do so by:

  • Learning from the great master – Jesus – He hated sin but loved everyone while His kindness for us took Him to the cross and brought us salvation (John 3:16)
  • Forgiving others as Christ forgave us – this allows us to show kindness to people around us genuinely – not for the sake of getting what we want. Remember, to whom much is given – much is expected (Luke 12:48)
  • Making kindness a habit –meeting the needs of others, sharing words of encouragement, praying, offering a helping hand and so on – so that your light will shine before others and glorify God. (Matthew 5:16)

Christ follower, this week choose to walk in kindness. If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and enjoy the kindness of Jesus.

All glory to God!
