My friends, this week, we are focusing on PEACE.
Have you ever had a situation where your mind is filled with thoughts that are defeating; fearful; resentful; mental unrest; turmoil? I have had several of such situations.
Being believers does not make us immune from these thoughts, but dwelling on such and acting them out is what becomes sinful.
However, the word of God in Isaiah 26:3 provides us with ways to overcome – hence we must daily renew our mind by reading the Bible. The scripture says “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you”.
This week if you lack PEACE consider doing the following:
- Practice thinking and fixing your mind on God – not on your situation, circumstance or event. Do this for as many minutes as possible during the day by meditating on your favorite scripture – I find this to be very helpful. It may be difficult at first if you are not used to spiritual concentration – but don’t worry – just thank God in that situation. Practice will make it easier.
Christ follower, the choice to have Peace this week is yours. God has promised to give those who trust in Him the gift of Peace – so choose Peace! If you are currently not a Christ follower, the God of Peace is waiting for you – don’t live another day without Him – come.
All glory to God!
