My friends, one of my favorite scriptures is found in (Proverbs 27:17) “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”. This scripture is a constant reminder for me on what sharing the love of Christ is all about.
How do we become people who sharpen one another? We do so by:
- Praying for others – I have found that in praying for the need of others– God answers my prayers without even asking Him. Try and see!
- Offering words of encouragement – many times when I am struggling – the Lord sends Human Angels (that could be you) to give me words of encouragement that lift my spirit up.
- Meeting physical needs – look around you and be sensitive to the Spirit of God, He will guide you to someone that needs sharpening through meeting their financial need; helping them to fix things around their home; sharing with them ideas to enhance their vocation; taking them grocery shopping because their car broke down and so on.
Christ follower, ask the Holy Spirit to help you sharpen others this week in your Church community; neighborhood; business environment; and family. As you do so, you too will be refreshed – it’s God’s promise and it is guaranteed! If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and taste Jesus today and you will find out that He is good.
All glory to God!
