Don’t Get Stressed This Holiday Season – Get Blessed

My friends, as the year is winding down, I wanted to take a moment on behalf of Blake (my husband) and me to THANK YOU for giving us the opportunity to encourage you with the word of God through your social and mobile devices.

As I pondered on what the Lord has done through this virtual mission, I am reminded of the truth of his words in Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”

For those of you who know me, you know that I am not worthy of this gift of devotion writing – it’s a gift from the Lord and He chooses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27).

This gift was presented to me in a package that came in form of a challenge and the Lord used this situation to introduce me to one of our Church Elders. During the meeting, he prayed with me and asked me to consider serving in the devotion ministry of the Church. From that point on, the Lord began to open various doors to encourage people through virtual ministry. Three months later, we have a global audience who receive weekly and monthly devotions from this ministry. This is truly the Lord’s doing and we give Him all glory, honor and adoration.

Perhaps, you are reading this and wondering how you can be a person of influence for the Lord in the coming year 2018, let me encourage you with the following:

  • You do not need an impressive resume for God to use you – all you need is a willing and obedient heart. Believe me, you will not be perfect but His grace is sufficient for you and His power made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
  •  Start where you are – in your neighborhood; business environment; family; social settings by living a godly life through your love for others; kindness; patience; joy and faithfulness. Your light will shine before others through these examples and they will glorify God (Matthew 5:16).

Christ follower, my prayer for you this season and in year 2018, is that the Lord will anoint you with the spirit of excellence to serve Him and others; He will bless the works of your hands; keep you and your family safe in good health and sound mind and you will be great amongst your equals in Jesus name (amen). If you are not a Christ follower, a great life awaits you in Christ – come.

Have a joyful Christmas and Happy New Year and remember – Don’t Get Stressed this Holiday Season – Get Blessed!

All glory to God!
