Is there anything too difficult for God?
In Romans 8:28 the Bible says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
I recall a season in my life when I was prayerfully speaking to the Lord about the fact that my life had not been a testimony – at least as far as my search for a job was concerned. My experiences rose out of a 15-months-long job search. In this intense period of my life, I distributed significant number of resumes. Failed at more than a dozen interviews.
The search began from a sincere belief that the Lord placed on my heart that I was to change jobs. I expected blessing and promotion. Instead, it led to despair, frustration and rejection. My friends, the emotions experienced during a job search can apply in other areas of life where we are not experiencing fulfillment.
As I pondered that I did not have a testimony during my job search, the Holy Spirit ministered to me that the testimony was not in His giving me a job right away. He would be able to do that, Had He so desired. Instead, the testimony was in His taking me through an experience that would teach me to hold on in the testing of my faith. Through this, others would see and be encouraged as they went through their own difficult times.
Psalm 34:19 states “A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.” I praise the Lord for the truth of these words and their proof in my life.
My friends, be encouraged knowing that our God is the God of the impossible. Nothing that happens here on earth limits what He can do from his throne in heaven. Crashing world markets and economic turmoil mean nothing to Him, because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). I had to learn that lesson, and you may need to learn it too. Perhaps, you will discover — like I did — the God who waits to help you.
Christ follower, take a pause– focus on God’s abilities rather than your inabilities. If you are currently not a Christ follower, let Jesus bring meaning to your life today – come.
All glory to God!
